1. What is an hourly kitchen?: An hourly kitchen is a fully functional furnished commercial kitchen, compliant with environmental health standards and regulations, available to hire on an hourly basis.
2. How much is it?: We charge £20 an hour which is inclusive of gas, electricity and cleaning materials. This price is subject to a fair usage policy.
3. What is the minimum time I can hire the kitchen?: Three hours is the minimum booking session, and thereafter as long as you wish.
4. Do I have to pay a deposit?: A £100 refundable deposit is required.
5. When do I have to pay?: We require cleared funds in advance, either by cash, cheque or credit card.
6. What capital or equipment costs will I incur?: None at all, unless you have any special equipment which you wish to use. That is the point of the facilities; we provide a fully functioning kitchen so you don’t have to make a big investment until you are ready for your own commercial premises.
7. Do you provide utensils?: We have a limited range of utensils which are in the kitchen already. However, most clients bring their own.
8. Do I have to register the unit with the local council?: For development purposes registration is not required. For food production registration with Brent council is necessary. This takes 10 days and is mandatory.
